"He's a good friend and he couldn't drive it anymore," she explained, then looked at him again curiously. "You know most people I work with, right? Auggie Anderson? Tech ops."

If she was right and he knew people in the DPD, then he'd know just why Auggie couldn't drive the car anymore.
