[Honeymoon] ... I'm on a boat, and in a hotel.
It had been a phenomenal ceremoney and a breathtaking reception. Rather, both receptions had been incredible, and as Annie slid into bed at Manderly at three in the morning after making sure that the guest house was clear of everyone except her and Webb, she felt that having been up for twenty-one hours had been more exhausting this time than for anything she'd done before.
Like Auggie had said: the op of a lifetime.
She and her new husband were scheduled to leave on a noon flight to London and from there, start their cruise to Greece. Ten days on a boat for her, followed by a week in a hotel in the Cyclades for him.
Santorini. The water was blue, the sand was white and their hotel put the word luxury to shame. Their balcony had a pool, their pool had a view-- actually, their everything had a view and there was really no reason at all to leave the room. Between room service and the masseuse that came to them, Annie and Webb were in heaven.

During his week on the boat, Webb kept track of how many different bathing suits Annie had packed. His favorite was the new one, which he was sure she bought more for him than her.
The hotel they selected for after the cruise was even more amazing than Clay could have imagined. Clear views of the ocean from everywhere. If he didn't have Manderly to retire to, this place would be a close second.
Today he decided to sit outside near the pool and just look out at the water. It was one of the few times in his life he felt completely relaxed and he had no one to blame for it but Annie.

It was red and gorgeous and she knew full well that he'd appreciate every since inch of her tanned skin in it.
She was wearing that and nothing else when she joined him on their balcony for the morning, unable to resist slipping into his lap. Yes, there was another chair right there for her, but holding her mimosa - mmm, champagne and orange juice for breakfast - and wearing bright red? She knew she looked irresistible.
"Good morning."

Clay's smile was involuntary. He'd never been happier than he was on this trip. Annie's suntan and the suit did nothing to make his mood anything less than fantastic.
"It's really beautiful out here."

"I'm so glad that we're here," she said, finally slipping off his lap and onto the edge of his chair. "Being alone with you for all this time has only reminded me that I totally took all our time together for granted and if you ever thought I took you for granted, then I'm sorry."
She rested her head against his shoulder. "You're amazing and I'm the luckiest woman alive."
no subject
"I don't think you've ever taken me for granted."
He could agree that she was a lucky woman, as long as she agreed he was the luckiest man alive.

She shifted just a little, her exhalation of breath a happy sigh. "Going back after this is going to be torture. Can't we just stay here forever?"
no subject
Right now though, he was content to ignore all of that, and his expression conveyed the same sentiment. Right now all that mattered was spending the rest of his honeymoon in secluded bliss with his wife.

She leaned over and kissed him slowly, hands moving up to cup his face as she took her time making sure he enjoyed it as much as she was. When it ended, she sighed against his mouth and smiled. "I love everything about you."
no subject
"I love everything about you too, especially that suit."

When she got to his earlobe, she nipped gently. Her plan had been to let him focus on the view while she took a morning swim, but she was easily distracted.
no subject
"Were you planning on being productive out here?"

He put his arms around Annie's waist, actually the slightest bit upset that he wasn't going to get to see this suit in the pool.

It was all she said before her hands and mouth went to work to make sure that everything went well, and she started with untying her bikini top.
no subject
He did manage to watch Annie untie her top out of the corner of his eye.

It was said reverently as she moved over him, undoing his shorts just enough so that she could make things easier between the two of them. She didn't plan on removing her bikini bottoms, either, just moving them to the side.
After everything was situated, she eased over him and bit her lip. "Ready?"
no subject
At this moment, the only view he was concerned with was the one he had of Annie.
"mmhmm, ready," he acknowledged.
no subject
It was obvious, at least to her, what she meant and she used her hold on the back of his chair to steady herself as she began to move. Slowly at first, but she kept up a comfortable pace. Her soft sighs and quiet murmurs told him just how much she loved what he did for her and she finally dropped her head forward to kiss him again.
no subject
He returned her kiss, and managed to whisper just how much he loved her.
no subject
It took her a moment to recover, but a smile finally curved her lips and she murmured a response against the underside of his ear. "I love you, too, by the way. In case it got lost somewhere in the moans and whimpers."
no subject
He did manage to move over and give Annie a little extra room in his deck chair, not really ready to let her go just yet.
"I guess the sun makes me adventurous."
no subject
Once they were both dressed - more or less - again, she sighed as she stretched next to him. "The sun is going to give you a burn. Wearing sunscreen?"
no subject
Clay looked Annie over at once amazed at how well she tans and the fact that red could look even better on her.
"If I wasn't I'd be as red as your suit."
no subject
"I'll never get tired of this. You." She nuzzled him again, then swung her legs over the side of the chair. "But you've made me hot, so I'm going over there..."
She pointed toward the pool with an excited look on her face. Or, it would have been excited except for the lazy exhaustion that had set in after morning sex.
no subject
"I'm going to go back to enjoying the view."
